why don't we allow shanty towns. why is it we prefer to have people with no shelter then a shanty house?
i think people in india in slums are better off then in north america.
they have homes some better then others but they are there homes.
in mexico one place of 50,000 people got so good the city added sewers and other utilities . here if you pitch a tent the police will tear it down does that make sence is that advanced society
world is not enough if every people have their own places.

Why is there not enough food,water and shelter for all the people of the world?
There is plenty enough land to feed the world,there is more than enough water still frozen and could be put in tankers and as for shelter even a tent is better than that rusty corrugated metal sheeting that grows in abundance in every shanty town in the world.
We also know how to make sea water drinkable and it will not kill a single fish,because there are none left.
You are right. There's plenty of food, water and shelter for every one on earth. So what seems to be the problem? If the problem is not mother nature then maybe it has to do with man's inner nature - the egoistic nature that only wants to receive food, money, wealth, or power for its own sake rather than for the sake of others.
We have an operating system that constantly calculates "maximum pleasure for the least effort." To that end, people will do whatever it takes to make themselves feel good, even if it causes others to suffer. And if that's how we're programmed, then think how someone in power operates!! Most poor countries are governed by men who have reached the pinnacle of egoism-who use their power and wealth for themselves and not for the people. Therefore it's not hard to see why those under their control suffer.
But why is all this happening? So mankind can come to a place where they can realize that all the money, wealth, and technology are not going to solve the growing global crisis. There is this popular belief that with enough money or technology we can fix & correct all of the problems we see in the world. However it's not the world that needs to be corrected, but only our inner nature. What must change is how we operate. Right now our operating system functions on two modes: what's mine is mine and what's yours is yours, or what's mine is mine and what's yours is mine. Both of them are responsible for all the suffering in the world. The change must occur so that the system becomes what's mine is yours and what's yours is yours. It's called altruism- when you care more for another than you do for yourself. In that method, you don't have to worry about yourself, because the person next to you is also operating that way, and thinking of your needs.
Is it truly possible for mankind to change to this system of operating? Yes, but man must first learn about his true nature, why he has this nature, why he needs to change, and most importantly, how he can change. There are answers and information about these things, and I am going to share a link
with you that I hope will help you understand the ideas I've presented by discussing the real cause of the current global food crisis.
