Whats the best way and is it possible to land a 15+lb Carp on 6lb main/5lb hook length?
Yeah I'm on about rod and reel. I've hooked a few Carp on light tackle, however with reeds on either side of my swim by the bank and my method, I'm losing them. Whats this side strain, can it help?
If you're talking about a running line ( rod and reel ) yes it is depending if there are any snags or not , you'll need to learn how to use side strain to the best advantage
.
Remember fish don't break tackle anglers do, you can always let off with the pressure , or give line ,take you're time you can't just drag them in.
