I don’t buy it for a second. I can understand the downvotes because if you don’t camp a lot it seems like a reasonable statement. But it’s really difficult to stay in a tent until 10:30a, especially a bivvy sack. Double especially if you’re hiking and not carrying particularly soft ground covering. If you were as tired as you said you’d be starving a lot earlier than 10:30. Not to mention how tough that ground is in the morning. If it’s warm out you’re cooking by 9, and if it’s cold out that hard ground just sucks the life out of you and you want to get up and eat and have some coffee. Once one person is up the whole camp is up, and it usually happens a lot closer to 7:30 or 8 after the sun has gotten up and into everyones eyes.
